DAY 4~~roaming rome (original i kno)

so today we rolled out of bed at the wee hour of 2pm haha...we decided it was time to buy some necessities such as toilet paper and a blow dryer finally...because not only were were always sweaty from the lack of AC or a fan...we were also frizzy and miserable because we had no blow dryer...so i set out on an adventure to find one. luckily it was great success!! now we will only be sweaty not frizzy!

we finally regrouped and ventured out to see the city soberly for the first time here.. around 530 pm we made our way to the tram which conveniently is only a few minutes walking distance from our hood and after asking about 3 grandmas in our broken disgraceful italian we were set in the right direction of the colosseum.

we were the typical asian tourists minus wearing the fanny packs and flashing the peace sign in every pic. we saw the Colosseum, a bunch of arches, the trevi fountain and wandered the streets for hours avoiding many vespas and smart cars that we were sure were aiming at us on purpose...the only sight we didnt see today were the spanish steps, well we were convinced we saw them about 9 times every time we saw a stair case but we were in fact incorrect so we plan on stumbling over there another day. when we were too tired to stand we gave up after walking for about 4 hrs straight and attempted to find our way back without old italian grandmas trying to explain it to us...we hopped on a bus, ended up at the main terminal, waited till it left again, back tracked the whole way how we just got there then finally made it home about 45 min later when it shoulda taken us about 15 min...oh well, we'll maybe cut it down to a half hr next time and work on it from there lol

roommates @ the trevi fountain!!

tonight we;re taking it easy b/c we have some sort or orientation tomorrow apparently at 9am, which in our time we think we;ll stroll in around 1030 knowing us..we keep forgetting that classes are a part of this experience so tomorrow should be a rude awakening when they explain to us we need to do stuff while we're here...we'll see how that goes

peace out,
