i forgot something verrrry important....

a few days after i got back from marias wedding, back in november, me,devon and the 2 other ppl in our physics group had told our friend max that we would come to his house for dinner b/c he wanted us to experience dinner at a real italian household. we clearly were all for a free fantastic meal, but when the day came, it looked liek devon and i were the only 2 attending this dinner. we felt soooo awkward before we went, i told devon about 5 times i wasnt going and was leaving her to go alone, but i went and im so happy i did. max drove us to his apartment about 20 minutes away from school, but still in the city, but he lived in a more upper-class residential area of rome. he said we;d be eating with his mom, dad, and his sister and her boyfriend. he said the dad spoke zero english, the mom knew some, and the sister spoke it very well but was too embarrassed to talk to us in english. this would be interesting...

when we got there the place was really cute and homey. they hugged us hello, none of us knew what we were really saying to each other, but we made our way over to the dinner table while the mom finished the last parts of the meal and the rest of the fam did there own thing before dinner. we sat down and there was a platter of fresh mozz balls in all diff shapes and sizes, as well as some bread and wine. we knew at this moment we were in for a great dinner haha. then as the fam came to sit the mom brought over the rest of the appetizers. these included fried olives, potato croquettes, fried zucchini flowers, and some thing that looked like pound cake but was really made of cheeses and egg and something else, everything was fantasticcccc. we were full already but it was time for main course #1. this is when the mom brought over a huge dish of pasta in a broccli sauce. i cannot describe it, i hate broccoli, but this delicious and i ate everything on my plate. time for round 2...lasagna! i was in heaven, thats all i have to say about that. then round 3, pork wrapped in turkey, wrapped in heaven. not only were we overly stuffed and satisfied, then they brought out gelato and sambuca and metaxa, and lemoncello. this was one of the best meals i had in my life, despite the lack of communication at some times during the night, all in all we had a fabulous time.

on the way home, max thought it was funny to drive us down this rd where allll you see are tranny hookers. this was interesting. he said that b/c its a rich area, the hookers stand there b.c rich business men will pull over often for a quickie of some sort. this is when max pulled over with 2 scared americans in his car, asked in italian how much for a threesome, the football player looking hooker peeked in the car, told him there was too many of us and thanks but no thanks haha. what an interesting but great night haha

class for the first time in 2 weeks...then off to poland!!

After my return from the wedding, and matts visit, it was winding down to our last few weeks and our last few trips to be planned. There was a lot of talk about skiing in the alps, which first of all sounds fucking awesome, but yet again i was torn as to what to do since i've been to interlaken before. I had to decide if i was going to go with the crew for our last trip, or venture outside the box and either go somewhere with someone else or go somewhere i wanted to go, but by myself.

i was sitting in physics one night, perusing a map of europe which seemed to be a re-occurring thing when deciding on trips (which i miss doing a lot) and i found myself interested in seeing a concentration camp, something ive always wanted to do. actually, on my list of top 5 things, seeing one was about #4...pretty sweet to cross something off a life list haha.

so i gathered some balls, found that if i flew to krakow id be within an hr of aushwitz, and booked my flight in class that night, then my hostel a few days later. i had an idea that the exchange rate would be in my favor, but who knew id be loaded when going over there and early my poorest time in my life haha, it was straight out of Eurotrip when the group ends up in that really poor part or russia or something and they live like kings!

when i arrived in poland i was a little nervous because it was like 1am, but i found myself a cab, ended up at the hostel, and was pleasantly surprised! i had a room which looked like it was straight out of ikea, and a bathroom in my place, so it was like my own little apt, and to top it off, i had wifi! so i put on a movie and passed out.

Those next few days were amazingggggggg! i went to auschwitz and it was incredibly eerie and sad, but really interesting and i was so excited i got to experience such a thing. i spent the rest of my days walking into the main square, checking out awesome shops, buying really cool stuff that was mostly home made like jewelry and clothes and trinkets. I had a fabulous time, but the only weird part i must say was eating dinner alone lol. i think its when they pull the table settings for the other ppl off the table is when u feel a little lonely haha but on the other hand, sometimes it was really great and relaxing and cool to only do what i wanted to do haha,

this trip was fucking awesomeeeeee! i highly recommend that everyone visits poland at some time in their lives, it seems odd but it was seriously an amazing place!

THANKSGIVING WEEK....we were so drunk i said i was thankful for wine

the monday we got back from amsterdam was a rough day for all of us, we were soooo tired, burnt out and going through withdrawal....not ok

i actually went to class which was surprising but i figured i should being that matt was still sleeping when i had class at 4...as well as still sleeping when i returned at 5:30, i literally kicked him for about 10 minutes at around 7 to make him get up, shower, then get ready to go to dinner. we walked around trastevre and got dinner, then went near stephs apt to order our turkey which we were really nervous about that it was too late. luckily for us the place she got hers from had ordered a bunch so we were pretty happy about it, we ordered 2, 6 kilo turkeys b/c according to steph thats what we needed, we didnt think to check the Lb to kilo ratio, little did we know, we ordered 2, 14lb turkeys for 10 of us...thanks steph!! haha jk...we were able to sell our extra turkey to jay and the guy on the black market luckily on wednesday when we picked it up haha.

the next day we did a bit of sightseeing, we had intended to see the pantheon and a few other non-energy needing sights b/c we were still being lazy, but of course we ended up walking across the world, seeing via del corso, the spanish steps, the church made of bones, as well as a restaurant my moms friend told me to go to that i thought id never find, its called ciao bella...i mean what are the chances id find the exact restaurant in rome thats called ciao bella haha...clearly it was way out of our price range so i made a quick call to the mom and told her my findings...when she was happy i found her friends fav restaurant i worked my magic and convinced her it was only appropriate that she treat us for dinner if we went one night, somehow it worked and we planned to go monday night before matt left on tuesday.

that night we picked up some pot, went to dinner, then hung out and watched movies. the next day melissa, jackie, matt, and jess's friend chrissy would arrive...this is when our apt would become a glorious madhouse.

clearly, i felt wednesday was not a day to attend school lol...we did some adventures through rome, went to dinner in trastevre, walked around a lot, then came back to get ready with everyone to go out that night. we all decided this would be a great night to go to campo since we hadnt been there in awhile. we all pregamed a lottttttttt then got on the tram to go to sloppy sams. we had a lot of fun there, this is where the night seems to get a bit foggy, one thing lead to another and a few of us split up here and there, i dont know how but matt and i ended up at a diff bar and drank a lot more. we all got home at different times, 2 here, 3 there, then one by one people came stumbling home, this was interesting haha. the next morning was going to suck, matt and i hadta get up by 9 to start slicing dicing basting and cooking everything for the next day, mind you, very hungover.

matt woke me up around 930 and pulled me into the kitchen, we were both still drunk while handling sharp objects, not ok. we threw whoever was sleeping on the couch into my bed and began our day. first of course, we had to light a blunt, i mean how else were we really supposed to handle such a task at such an early hour? haha

we started peeling like 900 potatoes, seasoned the turkey and threw it in, ran to the store to get some last minute things, then at around 11 we decided it was time to start drinking wine, about 5 hrs later when we ate dinner we were so trashed im surprised i ended the day with all 10 fingers. someone made a toast and all i could be thankful for was my wine haha, not ok. after dinner me matt and ali had a little pt to smoke that ali brought as a surprise, but as soon as matts fork went down he passed out, then after i smoke the world was spinning and ali was wearing mini mouse ears for some reason and it bugged m out! lol...i yelled at her to remove them then passed out too, this was at liek 7pm. i slept until around 1030, woke up and realized no one was there except for matt who was passed out in my bed, and kaitie and susan who were about to leave. they were meeting up with everyone at testaccio so i somehow got myself together, called ali and susan when i was ready and ali said they were going to scholars so i hoppped on the bus to meet them at the stop. when i got there it was only kaitie and ali and the others were apparently supposed to meet us, that didnt happen. me kaitie and ali spent the night there, kaitie and i had a nice performance of blackedout ali all night haha..we left at around 2, came home and passed out.

the next day me kaitie susan and matt went searching for the catacombs, #1 ali gives the worst directions ever #2 it was pouring, #3 we were in the middle of no where and ended up in the biggest park the world has ever known right near the zoo, we never made it to the catacombs but did end up at piazza del popolo then went to st. peters to show matt the church. that night all of us decided to go to coyote in testaccio, i had never been there but jess said it was awesome, and that it was. it was liek half inside and half outside, all i kno is we took a lot of tequilla shots, and matt tried to trick me into taking a shot of jack and i almost threw it at him haha. we were all soooo drunnk, got home around 5, then planned to get up at around 745 to go to florence that next day...this was going to be a long day ahead of us

me matt ali susan and melissa actually got up and went to florence on a 10:00 train that next day, how, we still dont know. we spent the day mostly shopping..i bought a bag and some other things, matt bought a leather jacket and a lot of stuff for his family, and the others bought some leather stuff too. by the end of the day we were soaking and freezing. we went somewhere for dinner but we were dropping like flies and needed to come back. none of us made it out that night, we were all soooo out of it and needed to rest up for the roma soccer game the next day!

matt ali and i went to the market the next day by around 12, spent about 2 hrs there then left with kaitie and susan for the roma game, this place was insannneeeee. the fans were crazy, singing, cursing at the opposing fans, waving flags, attacking the wall between roma and the other team, i couldnt believe it. we found seats pretty close to the field surprisingly, and halfway through the game the wonderful aroma of hash came floating our way, i look over and matt is getting a joint passed to him by the guy behind us! what a dayyyy!..then i look over and susan the junkie was smoking too! we found a way to ask the guy if we could buy some and we did, this was just amazing lol. after the game we took our hash and started our venture home, this was not easy. we had no idea how to get back so we hopped on the first bus we saw. as we were in traffic we looked over and a car was on fire! liek huge flames. we hopped off the bus and started walking, finally we got out of there and headed to abbey theater to meet up with jess and some others to watch the giants game, as well as to eat everything we could find b/c we were starving. we got there, all had beers, burgers and fries and finally decided just to leave, we were so tired and out of it.

the next day was matts last day in rome. we did the colosseum, the pantheon, and a few other things. clearly i didnt feel like class was a good idea lol so i skipped it again. then we came home, showered, rested, then went on our way to dinner at ciao bella. when we got there we knew we'd love the place as soon as they greeted us with champagne as we sat down haha. we shared delicious pastas, veal, lots of wine, and a glorious italian cheesecake. we knew we did some damage but we did not realize how much....128 euros later i was speechless deciding how to break the news to joanne haha. instead, i put 40 euro on my card and the rest on hers...when i signed the 2 receipts i noticed something...they only charged 12 to my moms card! what a dayyyy....we sprinted as fast as we could when we left and i took matt to get gelatto since he hadnt had it yet, even after the enormous dinner we had....of course it started downpouring and put a damper on our plan to show him the trevi fountain. we decided to have a cab take us there, let us sprint to take a pic then jump back in the cab, the driver thought we were nuts but we clearly needed a picture in front of it haha...it was a great success

when we got back matt packed up and we just watched a movie and went to bed, we had to be up at 5am to take him to the train to get him to the airport....it had been a great and long 12 day visit!

AMSTERDAM----> life's theme park for adults

so, yet again i attended about 3 days of classes the week i got back from marias wedding, then matt arrived in rome that thursday! we were leaving for amsterdam that next morning at 630 am and had quite a hike ahead of us before we actually got to a coffee shop so poor matt was traveling the earth forever before he had a chance to actually have a normal nights sleep.

we went out to dinner thursday night, had a good amount of wine, smoked by the bridge over the tiber river, then picked up more wine and headed toward to colosseum so he could see it at night. we got there pretty drunk and found they were filming some movie, it was really cool. the next morning we woke up and were at the airport by 730am...sadly, kate never made it there, missed her flight and didnt come on the trip! we were really upset as was she.
the 8 of us, me matt jess ali kaitie susan steph and our friend D landed in brussels then went to find the train we needed, at this point we were all on edge and only wanted to get to amsterdam to the first coffee we saw. we hopped on our 2 hr train and made it to amsterdam, we ran to our hostel, thru our shit down then sprinted to the red light district to meet up with jess and steph since they were at a diff hostel. we went to a chill coffee house and that is when all our dreams came true!!!

i feel like we had a moment where we were all just in awe, didnt speak, just smiled as we rolled joint after joint. it was as if we were in santa's corrupt workshop, me D and matt were the little drug elves rolling joint after joint and passing them along....we went to about 4 different coffee shops that night, smoked our faces off, ate amazingggggg waffles covered in heaven, had pot brownies, and all in all an amazing first night in amsterdam. i think matt and i had even teared up briefly hahaha

the next day everyone went to the anne frank house but since i had been there and since matt doesnt appreciate things we went on our own and planned to meet up with the group later on. our first order of business was clearlllyyyy to smoke a blunt of heaven which he had rolled that morning as we walked to this coffee shop we knew of that served amazingggggggg breakfasts but also let you smoke inside....seriously, what more do you need in life other than dutch pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, freshly squeezed orange juice and about 6 joints of some of the best pot the world has to offer

matt and i had never been so happy in our entire lives, we smiled the whole morning, couldnt get over the fact that we were actually in amsterdam together because clearly it was our lifelong dream. that by far was one of the best days of our lives...awww, tear haha

after our breakfast of a lifetime, we met up with the group at the van gogh museum, we were so high and so uninterested in art that we sped thru it, im sorry, i liek some art, i appreciate some things, but i was not having it that day, going from painting to painting of things like baskets of potatoes and fat babies we were not interested so we saw what we needed to see and peaced out asap haha. we smoked outside then we all went to the heiniken museum. this was a lot better, especially because beer is involved haha. i was also happy to find they changed the museum, it was a lot more interactive and something new for me in this city....too bad i was so fucked up that at the end where u can have your name typed on a bottle label and ge to keep it...I SPELLED MY NAME WRONG hahaahaha

after that we headed to more coffee shops, explored the city, went to dinner, more coffee shops, then people started dropping like flies, ps, it was around 9 pm.

as people started headed back to our 2nd hostel, which i forgot to mention was a house owned by a holland man who was soooo nice it was borderline creepy. we basically had an apartment in the bottom of a row-house. there was 2 rooms, one for matt and i and a room for the other 5. he left us wine, food, drinks, and other things that are uncommon of hostels. matt and i got back around 1 after we had shroomed, ate space cakes space pie space brownies and bought spae muffins for our ride home the next morning. we were soooooo retarted that after we drank the wine the guy left us while smoking a blunt of all the pots we bought mixed together we came up with a whole scenerio that this guy clearly drugged teh drinks/food he left us, had video cameras in teh rooms, and were waiting for us to pass out so he could come steal our kidneys and we would all wake up in bathtubs with our organs missing, luckily we made it through the night haha

but heres the craziest part of our trip...we were wandering around, and matt calls me into the kitches to where the bookshelf is, he points and a box and we open it, inside we find 2 bowls, a grinder, a back of tobacco, a bag of hash, a set of keys and 3 notes. we buggggged out. mind you this is like 40 joints into the day, 4 blunts and many consumed drug products haha.

we read the notes and each one is written in the point of view from one of the items in the box, such as :"hello, my name is fuckbert, use me to smoke pot and have a great time like i did in amsterdam"...this was crazyyyyyy...so i turn to matt after we read the notes and i ask if he thinks the keys open a secret passage in the house, he turns to the bookshelf, picks up the english dictionary which was the first book he saw, we open it and there is a safe inside!!!! ahhhh we died and started screaming. sadly, there was nothing inside for us, we felt maybe it was our duty to contribute to the treasure but we sadly only had 2 space muffins and 2 blunts left so we decided it was just for us haha

the next morning we all packed up our things, smoked our blunts on the way to the train, and made our way back to the airport...matt and i ate our space muffins, chased them with a bottle of wine, and were on the way to happy land haha

we were so cracked out, but we made it back to rome, with a slight twitch due to withdrawal, what an amazing weekend!!!

ROME->AMERICA->ROME in under 5 days

SO...this week was by far the most tiring of my whole life haha. We got back on sunday nov 8th or so then the next day i had a mission which was quite difficult. I had to find a gift for the fancy bride. I was told by my mom to find a nice serving platter/bowl or something to that effect that married people often use. clearly, this was asking a lot from me, A) b/c i speak zero italian, B) where the fuck do i find a platter in italy from a place where people buy those thing when i can hardly find everyday living essentials like shampoo and toilet paper haha C) how was i going to bring this gift if i did find it back home w/e it breaking.

So monday i spent contemplating and not really making moves b/c i was tired from our trip. Tuesday i had the brilliant idea to ask my italian teacher where to find such gifts. after class i asked her, she got on the phone with her mother, then in her broken english she explained where i was to go. i nodded as if i understood but clearly didnt, i figured id do my usual routine when finding something, i wandered around the area asking everyone i saw and eventually found the place hidden in teh jewish quarter of rome. this place was established in 1821 and was not only underground, but no one spoke english, and this was like the costco of housewares for married people. i didnt know where to begin. i basically wandered around for awhile until a non-english speaking man followed me around for about 45 min with a piece of paper writing down prices for things as i pointed out things i was interested in. i finally found a platter and bowl i loved so after walking around like a moron for about 2 hrs i was done...bringing this million pound gift home in one piece would be very interesting

tuesday night, well wednesday morning i headed to the airport at 430 am, called home b/c it was only 1030pm, complained how tired i was to joanne and was on my way back to reality, weird. my flight from rome to brussels was hell, first the whore flight attendent tried to make me check the back i had containing the gift but i refused and basically told her i had a priceless piece of artwork from the 14th century in there that i was guarding with my life so she wouldnt check the bag haha and somehow that worked....but secondly i was in teh very last row, sitting next to a sumo wrestler pretty much who smelled like a homeless person, mind u this was at around 730 am and i was not pleased.

luckily my second flight from brussels to jfk was amazing. it was so empty i could have brought a hammock and slept in the middle of the plane with no problem, so i popped some pills and slept for about 6 or the 8 hrs, i was really happy about that.

i landed around noon and when joanne picked me up our first stop was to a dunkin donuts drivethru on the highway. i ordered a large iced coffee....drank it as if i hadnt had liquids in years, then wanted to throw up since i hadnt had such a big coffee in about 3 months haha, but it was worth it....then i received a superb call from matt letting me know he had a casa d'italia sandwich waiting for me when i pulled in teh driveway..i could have cried haha

that day i spent hanging around and seeing some people and relaxed that night. the next day i had my first dress fitting, i was terrified b/c apparently there was some trouble with some of the girls dressed but i was soooo happy to find mine fit perfectly and all it needed was to hem the length a bit...what a day! after that the mom and i hit up the diner, another luxury i missed ever so dearly then it was time for the rehearsal at the church and dinner...this is where the night got interesting haha

soooo...we arrived at the church and it was the first time i was seeing maria as well as a few others since i was home, we practiced the church routine while getting yelled at by the angry priest haha..then he asked if anyone needed to go to confession before anyone received communion...everyone became frantic b/c everyone is a degenerate haha we are all burning in hell
after confession and what not we went to the chinese restaurant in mamaroneck for the dinner. it was great, we had lots of great food but more importantly we were all hammeredddd. the best man was ordering stoli O on the rocks and as that would come he would order a beer, that went on the whole night, so we obviously felt we needed to step up. we all got sooo drunk ash madeout with the best man in teh bathroom somehow haha and after all teh adults left we still found ourselves downing saki bombs for awhile until maria was out cold on the bar and we were all slurring, it was great. we then headed to marias cousins house to continue the festivities, i was so drunk and jet-lagged i called my mom to come get me at liek 1130 b/c i was gona pass out haha, i escaped without telling anyone, we dont kno why haha

that next day was a nails/last dress fitting day. we did some shopping and stuff too then that night me ash gina and my parents went to dinner then we met up with the gang at buffalo wild wings for drinks, it was great to see so many more of my friends! then ash and i escaped and went to see high school musical 3 haha...dont laugh, it was great ;0)

so the next day was the wedding of a lifetime! we woke up by 9, then me gina ash and mine and ash's mom went down to the hood aka the bronx lol to get our hurrrr did. after our up-do's were complete we went home to collect our dresses, put on makeup, then go to marias for pictures and to begin the festivities....we had a long day ahead of us!

when we got to the house it was insane, everyone was getting ready, hairspray was everywhere, the flower girls were soooo cute and running around in their pretty dresses and marias dad was pacing all over the house frantically haha. when maria came down it was redic! our first friend to bite the bullet and she looked gorgeoussss, we couldnt beleive what was going on. we took a million pictures, chugged champagne, then jumped in the limo to get down to the church.

so #1 i dont like when in the center of attention so walking down the isle was quite intense lol...#2 there were soooo many people there #3 when you live in harrison, you kno everyoneeee...so this was scary haha

my partner chris and i made it down the isle b/c he was giving me pep talks the whole time haha, i thought i was in the clear with acting appropriate until the service began. lets just say, the 3 yr ols flower girl made my day. allll thru the service at all the quiet parts she was scream from behind us "WHERES GOD!?!" or "WHERES JESUS!! I WANA HUG HIMMMM" hahaha we were dying. then, on top of it all, the man helping the priest kept dropping shit so marias cousin and i were dying laughing, not to mention the priest was calling maria ma-rear haha...it was a really nice service though.

after that, we went to take pics, picked up a 30 of beer and some cds so listen to in the limo (ps i didnt kno any of the songs b/c im so out of the loop here hahaha) then we went to the bronx to where the reception was at Villa Barrone. It was great. we stayed down in the secret hiding place until after happy hr, drank a lot, popped adderol, then went upstairs to be introduced in front of about 325 people...ahhhh it was crazy, good thing i was drunk haha....after that maria and phil were introduced from a secret elevator that comes up thru the dance floor, it was crazy. the rest of the night was nuts, we drank so much, i gave marias younger cousins a speech about life and stuff that i dont remmber b/c i was so drunk and slurring lol but i feel deep down inside i was inspiring hahaha. after the reception we piled into a limo and us harrison-ers went to a bar in larchmont. yet again, i was near death and near blackout drunk so i called joanne to get me at around 145 haha..lets just say i woke up with an up-do and was surprised i wasnt in my dress haha.

that next day i re-cooperated, said goodbye to some, re-capped about the wedding and the night with others so we could piece together our night, then headed back to the airport by 230pm for my flight at 530....luckily this was a direct flight and i would get to rome by 9am monday morning, just in time to drop my art of rome class b/c i then decided i did not want to go anymore this semester haha

what a crazy 5 days!!

FINALLY...trying to get back on track here with a mere 2 weeks to go, but about 4 weeks to catch up on...

ok, so last place i left off on we were on our way to dublin! we arrived there mid-afternoon, checked into our hostel which was not bad at all, then went to search dublin for lunch b/c we were starvingggg. we first fell in love with the place about this time...we walked out of the hostel to find a countless number of pubs/restaurants/shops/and even a BAGEL place...this was heaven.
we walked across a bridge in the slightly frigid weather and went into a pub called Panama...the place was dead but so were we so we decided to sit anyways. We walked in to find this place was enormoussss and looked like a sick bar to go to at night. we had the paninis of a lifetime for lunch then decided to find the guinness storehouse to take the tour. We found our way there and first began the tour by walking around and seeing how the beer was made as these tours usually are...then in the middle they give you a taste test. This is where we first got yelled at a bit for not drinking the beer right, we fixed our problem then continued on our way. Then later in the tour we learn how to pour our own beer. Some of us are slightly retarded (cough cough KAITIE) haha and cant follow simple directions and did it all wrong, yet again leaving us to be slightly yelled at by one of the irish workers again lol. We all gathered out certificates and went upstairs to the rooftop bar they have to drink our beers we had just poured in such a professional manner. As we were sitting upstairs and drinking the guy who told kaitie how she was pouring all wrong came over and started chatting w/ us. he was really cool and gave us another round of guinness on the house. we finished up and left to go to the gift shop b/c it was almost closing time for the bar and the storehouse. As we were leaving, the guy who told us we were drinking wrong, accompanied by the guy who told kaitie she was pouring wrong along with their friends started talking to us as they were leaving work and told us guinness amateurs to come join them at a pub and start a long night of drinking with them.
After a great night we mainly hung out with for the rest of our time in ireland. they took us to this awesome fancy looking pub first for a few drinks..then to a crazy pub that was hugeeee that happened to be right near our hostel. in so many words, we spent the next 8 hrs or so drinking, singing along with the live bands,(some of use making out with the 3 new friends of ours haha), dancing around and enjoying the irish atmosphere just as you would imagine after seeing it in a movie lol. It was one of the greatest nights of our trip i would say.

The next morning after rolling out of bed (hardly) we decided we wanted to see the countryside of ireland. We picked a bus tour that takes you out of the city and visits the shore as well as a castle in the outskirts of ireland. This was a great idea, especially after we had fantastic bagels for breakfast haha (its the little things in life that made us so happy) We had a great day sightseeing, of course while keeping in contact with our new guinness-worker buddies and made plans to meet up that night again. That night they took us to a few more pubs, this time where they made like 20 of their own beers and the music was a bit different. They quite entertaining as well as a few more guys that came along this time and we all had fun dancing around and being dumb while drinking, pretty much all you need to have a night of fun haha.

The next day was our last day in dublin. We clearly made a B-line to the bagel store asap then went shopping for the day before we went to the airport to go to LONDON! We bought sooo many gifts and fun things, saw a bunch of really good musicians playing in the streets, got interviewed for a college documentary about the election that happened the night before, then grabbed a drink at a pub and met up with one of our new friends then went to the airport. DUBLIN WAS AMAZING! im highly considering moving there for a few months in the fall. ;0)

That night we arrived in London and Matt, jess's friend who was with us at oktoberfest picked us up and brought us to his house where we were staying for the night. We quickly met matt and kevins mother was was soooo nice, we changed, and went to a local bar with matt kevin tom and their friend. We hung out at the bar, drank these amazing drinks then went back to their house to play some Wii (which i think i miss more than my own mother haha), susan and i snuggled and watched entourage, then we went to sleep so we could get up early and head into the city of London bright and early the next day. It was so good to be in a house with a mom, we havent done that in soooo long, not to mention the neighborhood/ town they live in looks exactly like greenwich so it kinda felt liek being home.

So the next day we went to london on the tube w/ matt, tom came and picked up our suitcases and brought them to his and his brothers flat in london where we'd be staying that night. we spent the day sightseeing all over with our tour guide mr. matt and split up halfway through so he could meet up with his fam for their dads bday. we eventually found our way to tom's flat which was absolutely amazinggggg. we were told that one night there we were going to a bar, another a club so we were def ready to drink. we ended up going to the club the first night there. we went to dinner near the flat, went to the hotel across the street for a few drinks, then got ready and went out.

The club we went to was sick. We had a table with an enormous bottle of belvedere and started drinking heavily. Lets just say i blacked out quite early that night, apparently when we left i went in one of those bike/taxi things with tom...then all i remember is throwing up (for the first time in the 4 months ive been away i swear! haha) and kaitie and others trying to help me then putting me to sleep. Not my best performance but i suppose that happens to everyone at one time or another.

That next day we spent hanging around the flat and taking it easy, we clearly needed it. We were reallll london-ers, we watched rugby and soccer aka football all day and just relaxed. We gathered ourselves together later that afternoon to take a bus tour of london. the bus tour was really fun but unfortunately very cold and drizzly so we did that then walked around and made it back to the flat. we got ready then went to dinner close by to the flat again, got a few more drinks at the hotel, then as we were going to go out it down poured. instead of making the trip to go out we decided to get alcohol and drink in the flat that night. we all snuggled up and drank and watched movies and just took it easy.
the next morning we woke up, packed up our things for tom to bring back to matts for us before we left then we got back to his house around 2. Their mom had cooked us some amazzzzzingggg lasangne as a lovely meal right before we left for the airport. we had such a great time with kevin matt tom and toms brothers and it was a great ending to our 10 day trip. We went back to rome that night and although we were happy to be relaxed we were upset that we were spoiled with 10 days of english speaking people. back to rome we went where people are pushy, smelly, and dont enjoy americans as much as the people in the other countries we had just been in do.
