procrastinating...

i should really be studying but instead i am doing anything but that. i clearly did nothing this weekend so once again i had to "think" and "try" all in one day, and attempt to makeup for all the shit i put off.

This weekend jess left us and traveled the earth with her parents, they went to florence, tuscany, and venice. Thursday night our hot water did not work once again, weird. so we all showered in creative ways and went to a back called on the rox. ali came and pregamed, she thought it was a glorious idea to play power with wine, then we took a few tequilla shots to start off the night. it was ladies night so we get 2 drinks for 8 euro, not too bad, we had a few drinks then left for scholars. it was awesome, as we were at the bar we see the guys stumble in from a 15 euro all u can drink and thats when its gets a little blurry and i just remember seeing lots of people, the 7 of us jumping a lot, us watching some funny things happen (ali) haha...then we went back, ali tucked herself in on the couch outside when we jess's bed, well her V shaped bed (the night before drew body slammed jess onto her bed and it snapped in 2 haha)

on friday ali and i were on a mission to get her a tattoo and me possibly get my nose pierced, we got directions, left at around 1 and didnt get to any destination we were looking for until around 4. we rode the tram like assholes looking for this bus we needed, walked around for awhile, grabbed a beer, then gave up and got in a cab. we are so dumb, the place we were looking for was about 2 miles from where we live and although our trip to the place wasnt successful, we found the most amazing shopping area ever, it has cheap shoes, bags, clothes, everything imaginable lol. we decided to check out the stores but were so tired and hungry we decided to go the next day and shop all day, we were very overwhelmed with our find haha.

susan met us on the tram and we went to a great dinner in trastevre, we had awesome food and it was cheap. that night ali insisted we go out altho we wanted to hang in and prepare for saturday night. me and susan decided to go grab one drink just to get out of the apt. we were classy and grabbed a beer at this cool bar then walked around, rome is still gorgeous now, its like 60 or 65 at night, we left and talked to drunk ali who wanted to meet up with us on teh tram as we passed where her friend lived, we called and no answer, passed out in under like 10 min haha, impressive

the next day we woke up and went to the shopping area around 12, ali didnt make it, she called and said she was in no condition to go anywhere, threw up in her friends bed, was finally home but wearing pumps, leggings, a bar crawl shirt and a green headband. she didnt sound too put together lol so we let her stay home and recover.

when we got to the secret shopping place it was total chaos, we bought shoes, boots, bags, dresses, pants, shirts, scarves, we went nuts, we even took a break and grabbed coffees like real italians haha,

that night we were determined to go to a club, we found a few crazy ones but never made it, us and the guys went to on the rox again, it was a lot better that night than the other night. late night we went to scholars but susan and i left and decided to have a slumber party so susan can break in jess;s new bed haha...we popped in some Elf, made it to where they say "bye buddy, hope you find your daddd" hahaaha then passed out.

sunday me and susan went to an open market with ali, it was so fun, we bought everything, including my worl record time of buying 3 bags in under 30 seconds from 2 diff vendors hahaha..i was on a roll. later that night me jess and suz went to abbey theater. this is an irish pub that plays all th sports us americans enjoy, such as watching the GIANTS!! woo hoo..we dressed in our NY gear and watched the game, enjoyed wings and burgers like us americans are supposed to lol and not only was the game great, but watching jess watch the game is the best part, i dono what better, the temper tantrums when they fuck up, or how excited and crazy she gets when we are good hahaha...good thing i studied for my art of rome midterm monday morning haha

i took the test this morning, that was interesting, at least this class is for fun and i need it for nothing at all lol instead of answering the questions asked i just wrote fun facts i knew about the topic hahaha oh well

tonight i should be studying hardcore for my mass media and society class but yet again, i have other plans, tonight we may go to watch the phillies game @ 1am at the bar...hmmm we'll see

whoaaaa ive been a slacker...not unusual though..

so i clearly havent kept up with this, i think after oktoberfest we were recovering for awhile haha so i think now its time to catch up...

so few days or so after we returned from germany was the first ladies night the colosseum pub crawl held. although my liver was in no shape to do so, i started work that night (havent really worked since lol) but it was pretty fun. me kaitie susan and steph went out and since we all werent needed to work kaitie and susan left at around 1230 and me and steph were like fuck it, we're out, drinking for free, why not?!


well little did we know we would have quite an interesting night...this means we basically drank too many long islands, tequilla shots, and various other things, especially b/c i made it a point to have the dj announce it was stephs bday (although it was the previous weekend) so random creeper italians were buying shots, but we were in no position to complain, it was free lol

the end of the night became very fuzzy but all i kno is we hardly got home and i woke up in my dress...not too out of the ordinary i guess haha

i beleive it was 2 days later, we decided to go out again, why after drinking way too many liters of beer we thought it was a good idea to go out like 5 times that next week we dont know, maybe it was us going thru withdrawal haha...so me steph susan and ali went out and actually ended up at the same cool bar we went to the first night we were out in rome which was cool, and this time we actually remember how to get back there! haha it was another good night


that friday we decided to go to the zoo...so tour guide jay lead the troops to the zoo...we literally hiked all over rome to get to this place, but it actually wasnt bad, we saw a lot of cool places on teh way, and the zoo was pretty fun, the monkeys were clearly the best part...i think we hung out by the monkeys for about 25 min haha

and to make the day even better we had another team rome dinner that night, this nights theme was "american night" yea, we're original, but no one understands now nice it was to have burgers dogs fries and beer pong and even mini keg stands! haha, well attempted keg stands
we had a great dinner and got pretty shitty that night, especially b/c it was jays 22nd bday!

that saturday we stayed in at stephs place and just were lazy all day, we went to dinner for jays bday in trastevere then picked up alcohol then prepared to go out, we pregamed hard at stephs, so hard that drew passed out lol..and this is where the night got a little crazy...

we all tried to find this ice bar thats somewhere in rome...one thing lead to another, we all got split up, i ended up at the ice bar like 2 hrs later to find that kaitie and her 2 friends that were visiting just made it...jess drew kate ad jay like never made it out then somehow jay ended up at scholars when katie and i found our way there...then as soon as we walked in we saw the rest of our friends, the whole night is a little confusing but all in all it was ok...at least i saw the ice bar!

that next monday ali and i decided it was a good idea as usual to start drinking right after our class @ 5 so we picked up 4 bottles of wine and went back to drink...after about 1 bottle each we got ready, killed another bottle then headed to the hookah bar....obviously this turned into one of those nights you accidentally get trashed haha...after the hookah bar we went to campi di fiore to sloppy sams...had a few beers there then went to gigante, had a shot and a beer and thats where i blacked out i thnk haha, i think ali blacked out at sloppy sams..we both have no idea how we got back and once again, i woke up in my dress haha

the next week was pretty normal, some school haha, some wine, some pot

on friday the roommates and i and drew and paul went to a thai restaurant thats right near our apt...this place hooked it up sooo much, apparently they really like american students...

as soon as we sat down and ordered our food and 2 bottles of wine the free shit started coming out...tehy gave us a huge platter of fries, platters of cucumbers and peanut sauce, about 6 bottles of wine, a bowl of candy, a platter of melon, and free dessert

this place was amazing...we will be going back shortly...but after i was slightly drunk i met up with steph and finally got good pot from a non-shady situation haha it was great, at around 12 i left and went back to the apt to smoke and go to bed, that next morning i had to be up at around 7 to meet up with steph and kate to go to the eurochocolate festival in perugia!..its supposed to be the biggest chocolate festival in all of europe, and it def was

the train ride that morning was terrible, basically sat on the florr next to smelly dirty ass italians for about 2.5 hrs until we got there, but this place was worth it. there were tonssss of european chocolate vendors, giving out free shit, selling amazing chocolates, it was insane and definatly an interesting experience.

we got home around 9 and immediately got ready for susans 21st bday!!!! i accidentally pregamed too hard with a good friend of mine, jose cuervo haha...it got messy, i blacked out fully for almost the whole night, found out we were at a slightly gay club all night, and no not slightly gay like it wasnt fun, like i mean drag queens and men in booty shorts, luckily the men were hot haha...i wandered away and caught a cab alone, which i slightly remember actually and put myself to bed around 2 or 3 i think, i was in no condition to be out and somehow i knew that haha.

the next day was rough, def a little hungover so me susan and kaitie smoked while jess met up with her parents who just got here to visit...it was def interesting, me and susan watched 2 movies and only moved out of bed to get pizza lol while kaitie was thinking she was gona die b/c she was so high hahaha

that night after ali got back from london we planned to go see the roma football team play against milan, we ventured all the way to the game to get tix and it didnt work out, we now know how to go about doing this though so we're prepared for next time...instead we headed to this american-ish pub, abbey theater where they play all diff sports including giants and other american sports in all diff rooms, it was packed so we found a similar place and enjoyed the best burger we've had since we've been here, we grabbed a few beers after and sat in piazza navona then headed home.

on monday ali and i decided it was a good idea again to celebrate after our class haha so this time we piced up food, rolled a glorious joint then went to a huge park thats right near school, its so cool how you can just smoke and no one even looks your way, it was awesome, we smoked until we realized we were pretty cold haha then went home, i wish i had a puppy to play with at the park haha oh sadie where are youu!!! hahaha

wow that was a lot to catch up on...this week and next are the first times ill need to pretend to learn and actually do work here...we have "midterms" coming up which really means ill just need to find books for my classes and try to read them..i dono how thats gona work out but we'll see i guess

then in 2 weeks we go on fall break!! we're going to glasgow, london, dublin and paris!! then 2 days after we get back i go home to NY for marias wedding...its gona be a longgggg month coming up whoaaaaaaa

ps me and laura are going to UTAH in january from the 13th-25th working at the indie film festival...ohhh shitttttt!!!!! ;0)

day 2 of oktoberfest....the best 14 hrs of drinking we've ever had

we all woke up and made it out of the hotel by 745 am that day, it was definately going to be rough, jess fulfilled her goal of puking in every country and did, on the train in the bag where my breakfast was, hahaha (sorry jess had to mention it)...then we got to hofbrau house by 815...we waited to be let in and go inside sooo fast!! although we were slightly dreading having to get through the first beer we were reallllly excited!


we sat upstairs at table that were open until 11am, then at 11 we woudl have to go downstairs because the people who made reservations are let in, little did we know that they basically kick us out and throw us to the curb out the back door at 11...we were conveniently seated next to all of italys most obnoxious drinkers, screaming italian songs for hours and being rude to everyone around us, shockerrr...once we were being excorted out we were on beer 2, we had to chug what we had left before we went outside and as i was handing the security guard my 1/3 full beer he said no and made me chug it lol, it was really funny

once outside we made a bathroom run, matt bought light up sunglasses, then we found out which door has the fastest moving line to get back in since we heard we'd need to wait for a few hrs...susan and kaitie seduced one of the security guards and got us and 2 random older guys in...it was amazing, the 2 guys then bought us all a round for helping them get in and our day inside on teh bottom floor began, we had no idea that it was 12pm, we were on beer #3 and we'd be there for another 12 hrs...wow


the rest of the day is a huge blur of singing, sceaming, slamming beer mugs together, bouncing around from table to table, meeting germans, italians, irish, and many other groups of people. it is the happiest place to drink everrrr...no one fights, everyone is just enjoying life and beer, as well as the 12 person band that was playing all day in between chants and surprisingly our fav acapulco jam "hey baby" haha

at around 12 we left b/c we clearly stayed until closing, then we ventured off into the night where the rest of oktoberfest takes place, i had no idea but there is actually a lot more to it than just drinking, there is a huge amusement park set up, games, food, and fun things, 7 of us drunk messes stumbled thru the crowds with our beer hats and other paraphernalia including the mugs we stole and went on a bunch of rides, not only were these some of the scariest most intense rides we've ever seen, these germans dont exaclty try and put safety first, for example we went on a roller coaster that had like 5 loops and crazy shit and i asked the guy where i can put my 2 beer hats and my mug, he told me to hold them between my feet then as we were already moving he threw on our thing to strap us in and just let us go...it was awesome lol, good thing i was trashed tho...after our rides we decided to go home, we made it to the main train station then since we were so drunk we walked around for like 20 min in a circle, we finally found our way to the subway (which we had walked past like 11 times lol) then made it home by around 1:30....it was a greatttttt day ;0)


the next morning we somehow were in amazing condition and would have gone to day 3 if we could haha...we went to the airport and started our trip home...by the time we made it to our layover none of us were speaking b/c our weekend of drunkenness had caught up and we were dead lol

we're back in rome now and so excited to sleep tonight, i have to go to campo to pick up fliers for tuesday night for the bar crawl, we start work that night so we are going to be flyering to make millions on tuesday, it should be really fun, although i cant really think of drinking right now lol

1 liter of beer in each mug, we had anywhere from 6-9 mugs each day...do the math and buy us new livers

we arrived in munich after our short flight of about 1 1/2 hrs...it was great, we hopped in a cab after getting to one the nicest airports ive ever been to, they have nicer stores in there than they do at the westchester, and for those of you who are from home and know what im talking about youll understand haha


we got to our hotel which was really nice and met up with jess's 3 friends, matt matt and tom, all from england. we went downstairs and had dinner and a nice big beer, we had no idea what we were ordering really but all the things we got were delicious as well as our beers, the guys had bought some alcohol and chasers so we hung out upstairs and played drinking games all night, at around 1 we decided we should call it a night and rest up for our 1st big day in munich...we decided to leave at 830 so head over to oktoberfest



we got ready and got to oktoberfest around 930, we thought we were very early but that was not the truth we found out, our friends had gotten there at 730 and said it was getting packed, we attempted to get into the hofbrau house but the security informed us that we'd be waiting for hrs to get in so we walked over to another tent, we sat outside despite the drizzle and cold and ordered our first round of the weekend...we housed our liter beers and ordered our second ones within a half hr id say...then came along the people selling giant soft pretzels and sandwiches and giant doughnuts...we were in heaven lol


it started to rain a bit more so we decided to head over to the town of munich where there is a restaurant of the hofbrau house and found our way there by asking every random person we could to point us in the right direction, we finally made it and this place was hugggggeeeeee...it was as if a giant hotel was gutted, a million tables were put in on 3 different floors, and thousands of people were inside drinking heavily, eating german foods, singing and screaming...it was unreal

we started drinking downstairs, tom and i found us a place to sit upstairs, we drank and ate for hours, then this is where is gets a little blurry lol

...allllls i knowwwwws is that we were trashed, somehow jay drew and gary found us, drew passed out on the table haha and then when we decided to leave at 10 (i was convinced it was like 2am lol) it got a little crazy haha...everyone was running the streets of munich, drew was passed out in my arms, susans arms, then jess's arms lol...we got split up from most of the group, we tried to find out where we were and how to get back, that didnt work out haha...they had to come back and find us and show us how to get back lol


all in all day 1 was amazing, and technically we didnt eve go inside the tents yet, in a way it was maybe better that way, because the amount of drinking that occurred saturday would have clearly been more difficult than it already was going to be...but i must say we were all champs!

the week before OKTOBERFEST

monday night team rome aka team awesome met up at steph and kates apartment for mexican night! we had planned it the night before and all had our jobs split up...i made some dip thing that ended up being glorious (a lovely recipe a wise woman named sheri once showed me, also known to be one of her favorite "smoking snacks")..susan made guacamole which was fabulous, and kaitie made sangria it was awesomeeee..everyone else brought chips and made the dillas, they were delicious!! haha

we had a great time then parted ways around 11 b/c we were all still tired from the weekend we had. the rest of the week was fun, tuesday i left night class early to go to a speaker i was forced to go to so that meant me and ali looked at funny pics on my comp for 45 min and did everytying else but listen, that night ali came over and smoked then we went out to campo, we intended on having a few drinks but yet again that didnt happen lol...jess and kaitie left around midnight and we stayed out till liek 2:30 playing beer pong at the drunken ship...i must say we were pretty good, especially after finding out ali only remembers playing the 1st of 4 games we played hahaha

then wednesday i had 1 class which was awesome, ali and i smoked after and had the greatest pizza everrrr..it was exceptionally great that day...then me jess kaitie susan and kate went out to meet jamesy, the guy who we are working for with the colosseum bar crawl, we spoke business for awhile then i went back around 12 while the others stayed out since i needed to mentally prepare for oktoberfest ;0)

thursday came soooo soon and we were all pumped...we had no idea what to pack since we kept jumping from country to country changing climates each weekend lol...in the end i should have packed like 2 extra shirts b/c we wore the same thing like everyday lol...we left for the airport at around 2;30 pm and were soooooo excited, we had no idea what we were in for ;0)

in italy they hand over speed boats to anyone!

so saturday morning we woke up at around 9...go on the bus at around 10 and took it to positano

it was gorgeous, the bus couldnt drive us all the way down b/c the roads on these mountains are soooo small so we got out and walked down this mountain for about a half hr, when we reached the bottom there were cute shops, restaurants, and a beach!! the water was sooooo blue, the only downside was that the beach is made up of really tiny rocks which are almost sand-like, but wehn u walk to the water the rocks are bigger and bigger, so getting in the water is a bit painful but its worth it!

we had so much, the weather was amazing, we all got awesome sandwiches from a local place and just hung out on the beach until around 2....at 2pm we split up into groups of 8, there was originally 10 ppl in team rome but steph and ali met an italian and went off to sea with him on his boat to dine at his hotel with 20 members of his family, an experience they clearly would not have missed...so after our group of 8 got together we rented speed boats, it was sooooo fun, they just give you a boat, tell u how to go backwards and forwards and let you go into the Mediterranean, it was great, the 3 boats we all rented followed e/o out to a cliff so ppl could go cliff jumping, many ppl received minor injuries but susans was the best, she landed quite awkwardly and bruised her ass worse than mine when i jumped off that platform in acapulco haha poor her, i feel her pain





after the boats we came back to the beach, relaxed for awhile, then took a ferry back to sorrento...we hit up the $5 dinner again with team rome then went to get ready to drink, we decided to drink at the hotel that night b/c we had alcohol and theres a bar there as well as a sick rooftop deck with enormous couches and tables...we played a lot of drinking games and got trashed, it was great


the next day was our last adventure w/ team rome for the weekend, pompeii


pompeii was very interesting, im sure my latin teacher from highschool would be so proud of me for going being thats all we talked about for a full year, we happened to be lucky and went on the one day a yr that they dont charge admission to go so all we paid for was a tourguide...what a dayyyyy!

at around 4 we got on the bus and started our journey back to rome, yet again the company insisted on dropping us off in the middle of nowhere promising that the trains come often....LIES! we were so mad, steph gave the whole evil florence group the finger as they drove away haha and we then sat in the sketchiest place yet again for over an hr waiting for a train...we made it back at around 930 and were excited to just relax in our beds....seriously it was the best weekend ever ;0)
